After testifiying against a mob boss, former New York-based mobster Frank Tagliano enters a witness protection program and requests relocation to Lillehammer, Norway. There, he assumes the identity of Giovanni Hendriksen and attempts to integrate into Norwegian society. However, it doesn’t take long until Frank returns to his usual criminal activities.
The Lilyhammer series has recieved six awards, including Best Comedy TV series, Best European Comedy TV Series and Outstanding Actor in a Comedy Series at the Monte-Carlo TV Festival.
